sargeantangelTegan was born in 1988. She is studying as an illustrator as part of a degree in Design at Curtin University, until 2009. Her focuses as an illustrator oscillate between reality and the fantastical. If she hadn’t been an illustrator she probably would have tried to be a palaeontologist or a mad cat lady. The latter; she’ll probably still succeed at.
Influences as an illustrator include James Gurney, Shaun Tan, Edmund Dulac, Jon Foster, René Magritte, Eleanor Grosch, Kozyndan, Gloria Jean’s, Starbucks & Keds.
A key focus on my blog is to chronicle the development of my skills as a neophyte illustrator, and to provide me with an environment in which to receive constructive criticism of my work.
